The Kansas Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA) invites you to participate with us as a Sponsor and/or Exhibitor at this year’s Annual Conference. Attendance at our Conference averages around 400 attendees.
Sponsorship of the Conference gives you an opportunity for additional exposure to our attendees, including advertising, signage, and recognition during the Conference and throughout the year. Details of the three sponsorship levels can be found by clicking here.
This year the vendor exhibits will be showcased over the Friday luncheon with opportunities for the attendees to visit all vendors during that time (please note this is the only allotted time for vendors). We will be offering each vendor a short amount of time to speak to all attendees during lunch on Friday, September 16 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. The amount of time will be dependent on the number of vendors. KOTA will contact you prior to the Conference with your allotted time. You can reserve a vendor booth by filling out and submitting the Sponsor/Vendor Contract.
If you have any questions, please contact Amy Dubach at the KOTA office at 785. 232.8044 or toll free 877.904.0529 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to your participation. Thank you for your support!
Note from the Confernece Chair:
Welcome to the Kansas Occupational Therapy Association’s Annual Conference! The theme this year is “AD ASTRA PER ASPERA ~ To the Stars Through Difficulty. Kansas Occupational Therapy Practitioners take patients ‘To the Stars’ in ADLs, IADLs, education, work, play and social participation.” Our keynote speakers, workshops, seminars and vendors will all focus on the importance of providing educational opportunities to ensure that OT practitioners can continue to evolve by learning new and innovative skills. This will allow them to provide the best patient/client centered care, helping each to realize achievements and to turn dreams into reality!
Next year, both AOTA and the profession will turn 100. This is a time to celebrate where we have come from, and consider how to advance occupational therapy into the 21st century. The professional roadmap to advance the profession & move forward is called the Centennial Vision which states, "We envision that occupational therapy is a powerful, widely recognized, science-driven, and evidence-based profession with a globally connected and diverse workforce meeting society's occupational needs." We hope you are able to see some of the pathways OT practitioners are using to realize this professional vision by attending, learning, and actively participating in this year’s Conference.
For the fifth year now, our Conference will be GREEN! You can preview all Conference materials online, register and pay online, receive your Conference confirmation electronically, and even view all handouts online. Make sure you bring your iPads, iPhones, Kindles, Smartphones, and laptops so you can view the materials online during sessions. If you prefer, you will still be able to print out yourself whatever handouts that you would like, either prior to, or after Conference.
You will not need to register in advance for your sessions. You may choose whichever session you would like to attend while you are at Conference, but many sessions will fill up quickly, so please arrive at your session in plenty of time to get a seat before we close the doors! PLEASE NOTE: Sessions are first come, first served. Please ensure that you come to the session in a timely manner. If there are no seats available we ask that you please find another session to attend. We will not be requiring you to sign in and out at each session, but will instead “stamp” you in and out once the doors are closed. You will need to make sure that you are “stamped” in and out with the proctors in each room on your CEU record sheet which is located in the Conference materials packet. If while you are attending a session you decide to change to a different session, the proctor will stamp you out, and then you will have five minutes to be stamped in at your new session without losing any credit. Just make sure that you have been stamped in and out at both sessions. And at the end of Conference, or when you have attended your last session, please turn in your stamped CEU record sheet at the registration table. Your CEU certificate will be mailed to you after Conference.
The Conference Committee has worked very hard to bring you the very best again this year! Please say a big thank you to: Kara Rogers (Volunteer Coordination), Heather Drews (Raffle Coordination), and Heather Wright (Raffle Coordination).
Enjoy the Conference!!
